Michael Jordan, considered by many to be the greatest basketball player of all time. He was born on February 17th, 1963, and raised in Wilmington North Carolina with his four siblings. Jordan attended Laney High School during which he played for two years before transferring to Emsley A. Laney High School where he would go onto lead his team to three state championships. After high school, Jordan went on to play at the University of North Carolina but after winning an NCAA title there he decided that it was time for him to take his talents elsewhere and enter the NBA draft where he was drafted third overall by the Chicago Bulls in 1984.
