Mark Zuckerberg is an American computer programmer and entrepreneur who founded a social networking site called Facebook. On May 14, 1984, he was born in White Plains, New York, to Edward Zuckerberg and Karen Kempner. He studied computer science at Harvard and dropped out to start a company called Facebook in 2004. A lot of people might not know this, but Mark didn't just create Facebook. His first major success was with an app called FaceMash which allowed users to rank attractiveness on Harvard's campus. It was shut down soon after due to student outrage about privacy violations and cyberbullying.
